• Analyzing quotations
  • Preparing price quotation ratio report incorporating price analysis ratio and minor irrigation price ratio.
  • Referring the price analysis report thus prepared to all deputy/assistant district commissioners of the Department of Agrarian Development.
• Sanctioning engineering estimates
  • Rectifying errors and shortcomings of engineering estimates referred to this division by the Development Division of the Department and approving same by the Director (Engineering).
• Carrying out construction/renovation activities of the head office and buildings belonging to the head office.
  • Renovation activities of the old building of the head office were commenced in the year 2018 and the modernization of the toilet system and the three-storey building was entrusted to the Department of Buildings and the necessary instructions and coordinating activities are carried out by the Engineering Division.
• Conducting technical evaluation assessments
  • Renovating buildings of the Department of Agrarian Development and minor irrigation systems.
  • Evaluating procurement documents subsequent to the preparation of estimates of restoration and construction work.
  • Making decisions regarding the selection of suitable contractors after the procurement process.
  • Preparing technical evaluation committee reports.
• Repairing circuit bungalows belonging to the Department of Agrarian Development.
  • Renovating and modernizing Mihintale circuit bungalow.
  • Renovating and modernizing Kataragama circuit bungalow.
